My Favorite Journey Posts of 2010

I began blogging on June 29, 2010. I listed the five most viewed posts of the year on yesterday.

These are my favorite five that did not make the cut:

1. July 15, 2010 – COFFEE TALK: Avatar and the Big Picture

This post missed the Top Five posts awards by one slot. It shares some reflections after viewing the movie with an acknowledgment that every encounter (ex. movie, book, person, travel, religion, etc) presents a worldview. It is the responsibility of the Christian to discern the worldview that is presented and how it aligns or conflicts with the Christian worldview. In this post, I evaluate one scene from the movie.

2. July 12, 2010 – I’ll Trust You

Sometimes we all go through difficulty. When we do, it is important to hold fast to the truths found in the word of God. Be encouraged that God will not fail you and he can be trusted to deliver you from any situation.

3. July 8, 2010 – COFFEE TALK: Pet Peeves

Do you have things that simply get on your nerves? Are some things that you do an annoyance to others? Sometimes, pet peeves are not significant issues at all. Sometimes we can laugh about them. At other times, we should contemplate our need for change. Take a look.

4. November 16, 2010 – NATASHA’S STUDY: Mentor Like Jesus

This quick review of Regi Campbell’s book, Mentor Like Jesus, presents Jesus as a mentor to his disciples. Campbell challenges the reader to use Jesus’ model for mentoring in their own relationships. I am using this book as a foundation for the women’s mentoring ministry at my local church. I am very excited that churches and Christians are embracing the importance of mentoring. This is a very important read and I will continue to share my mentoring experiences throughout the year. We should all mentor like Jesus.

5. December 9, 2010 – COFFEE TALK: A Tribute to Mom

On the eleven year anniversary of my mother’s death, I reflected on some practical things she taught me through her daily living. When a loved one leaves this earth, we should remember the goodness, grace, and love that they brought into your lives, so that we can share those same qualities with others.

What were your favorite posts from 2010?

Love and Blessings, Natasha
