This is a problem. And the problem is why I have been doing my small part to get the word out about ‘Red Tails’ which is in theaters today! Red Tails is a movie adopted from the real life story of the Tuskegee Airmen, who served as America’s first black aerial combat unit.
It is my hope that this movie inspires young people through the lives of real heroes who have sacrificed on behalf of others to make this country what it is today. I hope this movie sends families to the library, book stores, and documentaries to learn the true stories behind the movie images.
I hope this movie reminds us of the great sacrifices of these African American heroes. I hope it reminds us that we have more in common that we sometimes think. I hope we do not forget this reality.
Least We Forget:
Thanks for letting us know about this, Natasha. Motivates me to get out and support this and other important films.
Yep yep! I plan to go see the movie sometime this week.
We first learned about these men in a museum in Tuscaloosa. We’ve been looking forward to the movie.
If you’re interested, I have a blog, http://thesovereign.wordpress.com, about living holy lives in light of the return of Christ. I often try to combine Scripture + current events that point us to Jesus’ soon return.
Thanks for reading and sharing the link. A lot of buzz about the “Love Jesus Hate Religion” video lately. Blessings, Natasha
