Taking a Sabbatical

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Thank you so much for reading and sharing my blog.

I have entered a three month period of prayer and fasting. When I began prayer and fasting last week, God was abundantly clear that he wanted me to come away (from the normalness that is my life) and draw closer to him. Therefore, I have entered a season of silence, solitude, and prayer to seek his face and rest in the Lord’s presence.

This means that I will not be blogging or hanging in cyberspace until May 8 when we begin our Christian Atheist book discussion. If you have the book, start reading it. If you don’t have it yet, go out and get it. It’s sure to be a lively discussion.

During this time of absence, I wanted to remind you that the Naval Academy’s Summer Seminar and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) student summer program applications are online until April 1, 2012 and you can find out more about the school and its opportunities here.

I will continue the monthly update of our Radical Experiment with guest blogger Sophie A. Look for those on Feb 28, Mar 27, and April 24. Would love to hear how the challenge is changing you.

The ladies in the Women’s Mentoring Ministry at my church will be engaging Elisa Morgan’s She Did What She Could over the next few months, so you can jump in on that discussion here.

My hubby has done a great job is setting up categories on the lower left hand side of the homepage and a search option at the upper right. I hope you enjoy the archives (some of them might actually be good).

In the meantime, I’ll be fasting, praying, reading, and writing. I fully expect God to do great things and look forward to reconnecting with you in May.
