Okay peeps, life is still pretty crazy right now and I will get back to regularly meeting with you within the next couple weeks, but in the meantime I wanted to give away a book in honor of Mother’s Day Weekend.
I introduced you to fellow Redbud writer, Jennifer Grant, a few months ago and she was kind enough to share her adoption story. I addition to being inspired by her passion for adoption, I was thrilled to meet Jennifer at the Calvin Festival of Faith and Writing last month. She is a sweetheart and has since released her new book, Momumental: Adventures in the Messy Art of Raising a Family. Jennifer was kind enough to have a signed copy of the book waiting at my doorstep when I returned from last week’s travels and I am excited to give it away to one of you.
New Redbud, Trillia Newbell (you will meet her very soon) recently interviewed Jennifer about the book project on her blog.
To enter the drawing, share a brief adventure in motherhood in the comment section. I will select a winner on tomorrow and drop the book in the mail this weekend.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and “Mothers of Israel” out there!
“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Giver her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate (Prov. 31:30-31 NIV).”
Love books and Love giveaways! 🙂
Adventures in motherhood…everyday is an adventure! LOL
For me one adventure or special moment was with my non-biological son (who lives with us). We’ve had our growing pains and struggles to just be Mom & Son.
One day he comes home from school, runs upstairs, gets really quiet, then comes back downstairs. He presents to me his best artwork (that of a 7 year old LOL) and says “Mom, you’re the best Mom EVER!”
…he’s made a beautiful portrait (stick figure) of me, on a hand written card that says “I LOVE YOU”.
I simply couldn’t ask for more! 🙂
I love that kiddo!!!
How sweet, Angelica. Thanks for sharing. You are the winner! Will drop book in the mail tomorrow. Blessings,
