In the News: Human Trafficking is a Problem in NC

I was honored to sit down with Keri Brown of NPR News (88.5) last week to talk about human trafficking in our state and the organizations and churches I am working with to raise education and awareness of the issue. Check out the interview below:

North Carolina is one of the top states in the nation for human trafficking, or modern-day slavery. A High Point woman is partnering with a group of churches in Greensboro to bring more awareness about the issue.

They are holding a series of free events for the public, which includes guest speakers who have been directly impacted by human trafficking in the Triad.

Part III of the “Refuse to Do Nothing” Human Trafficking Education & Awareness Conference Series will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2014.
