Dear Sisters and Brothers,
Those of you who have been following A Sista’s Journey for a while know that it has been a wonderful 3 ½ years of writing, ministry, work, studies, and life. Now that I have completed seminary, I feel a need to take some time to slow things down a bit and rest.
Therefore, I will be taking a sabbatical from regularly writing on the blog this summer. What does this mean? It means that I will not be writing as regularly as you are accustomed to reading. I will be checking in occasionally if I have any news to share and if God inspires me with musings. However, I will mostly take the time to enjoy my daughter and read some great books that have been piling up on my book shelf. This means that I will continue to write and share articles here over the summer and I will continue to share book reviews.
This also means that I will be taking the necessary time to work final edits on my upcoming mentoring book. Please pray for me as I work on this project that has been burning in my heart over the past couple years.
Before I sign off, I also wanted to leave you with a word of thanks and a blessing. I am hosting a week long raffle for a Summer Sabbatical giveaway. I have few items here and will also be purchasing a few of my favorite things to share with 4 winners. The instructions for entry can be found below:

Expecting nothing but the best from you.
Exciting – to write a book! Keep us posted!
Have a wonderful summer
I’ve only recently found your blog. I am still reading backwards, so any topics you choose to write about will be of interest!
Enjoy your sabbatical, and happy summer!
