Leadership: Introducing CDEL

I am thrilled to have taken on the role as Assistant Director of the Center for the Development of Evangelical Leadership (CDEL) at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary Charlotte, NC campus in October 2014. I am excited about this new opportunity and we are already progressing in our initiatives and partnerships to ensure that the vision of the center is fully realized.

CDEL is the premier center for training, coaching, and conferencing in:

  • Multi-ethnic Leadership
  • Discipleship & Spiritual Formation
  • Missional Leadership in the Marketplace

We use three biblical models: redemptive leadership, servant leadership, and shepherd leadership which equip leaders to cultivate a kingdom-mindset for church and marketplace ministry in a diverse and changing world.

Mosaix LogoCurrently, we are partnering with pastor and author, Mark DeYmaz, and the Mosaix Global Network, an organization that exists to catalyze the growing movement toward multi-ethic and economically diverse churches. In addition to the Mosaix Global Network partnership, 2015 brings the new initiative of a pilot multi-ethnic networking program that equips Christians who are leading and serving as Christian missionaries in corporate workplaces. 2016 will offer stimulating opportunities for training in discipleship and spiritual formation.

I am excited to share our new CDEL website which includes the center’s core values, philosophy of leadership, highlights Charlotte’s leadership programs, CDEL events and partnership information. The website currently presents and will continue to expand its leadership resources including: book reviews of relevant leadership resources, video resources addressing today’s leadership challenges, and articles related to leadership. Reach out to me if there is anything else you will like to see on our website! We want to become a valuable resource to develop your leadership, ministry, work, and teams.
