Hello Beautiful People,
I am pleased to bring you this episode, as it marks the transition to a new segment on the Sojourner’s Truth Podcast, and that is #GriefAND Exodus. Over the next several episodes this theme of Exodus will be surrounding my conversations with the guests on the podcast.
In this episode, I start by defining the meaning of the word exodus and unpacking the why behind people’s willingness to risk everything and move to a place filled with the unknown. Another important part of this episode is looking to the Bible to see the truths about exodus and the journey to freedom. We can see these truths reflected in the lives and stories of people throughout the Bible including: Noah, Ruth, Moses and Jesus.
In our Exodus journeys, however they show up in our lives and in the lives of our neighbors, what we should not forget, what we cannot forget, is that God is not abandoning people. We serve a God who journeys with people.
