There is no civil rights movement, there is no women’s suffrage movement without the work of black women. We fight for everybody and that’s what black women do.

Dr. Natasha Sistrunk Robinson

In this episode Latasha begins by sharing her grief about the church and we talk about how you do not grieve over something that you do not love. Our conversation then shifts to the topic of intersectionality including the origination of the term and the importance of talking about this topic, especially as black women. Both Latasha and I place a high value on truth-telling and we briefly discuss importance of telling the truth not just in life but also as it relates to the topic of intersectionality. The podcast continues with Latasha sharing about the work she does for the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People Of Color) community and how she seeks to provide a space for them be heard and seen.
