Humble people do not force their way, ignore authority and wise counsel, step over people to get what they want or manipulate situations. Humble people surrender to the Lord with the trust and understanding that he will chart a way that is good and that he will fulfill his promises to them.
Fasting humbles us before the Lord. This is the reason why all Christians need to better understand the practice. Who among us does not need humbling every now and then? I wanted to understand what the Bible says about fasting. I also wanted to understand if and why I should consider making this spiritual discipline a part of my life, as a Christian and more importantly, as a leader.
Mentoring is an obedient response to the “if-and-then” demands of training and teaching, which ultimately changes lives. When lives are changed for Biblical righteousness, our relationships are as they should be and God is honored through them.
