Coffee Talk: What Women Say

This morning was the first day of the week that I opened the window blinds and did not observe frost on my neighbors’ rooftops. I don’t know what happened to the nice spring weather that visited us on last week. As the rain beat outside my window, I buried myself in studies, but this afternoon I have decided to lift my head and reflect on a few notable quotes from women as we close our Women’s History Month.

“We can do anything we want to do if we stick to it long enough.” – Helen Keller

“Where I was born and where and how I have lived is unimportant. It is what I have done with where I have been that should be of interest.” – Georgia O’Keeffee

“Excellence is not an act but a habit. The things you do the most are the things you will do best.” – Marva Collins

“I came to learn that God never shows us something we aren’t ready to understand. Instead, He lets us see what we need to see, when we need to see it.” – Immaculée Ilibagiza

Immaculée Ilibagiza quote from her Rwandan Holocaust experience

What are some of your inspirational quotes from the hearts of women?
