I stumbled across this song on the web recently, and I love the smoothness and honestly of the artist’s words. The relevant message of the song is from Revelations 3:15-16:
God says “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.”
For those who are cold or lukewarm, I encourage you to come to God. Be earnest and repent. (Revelations 3:19)
For those who are hot, be encouraged that we have victory in Jesus. We will overcome! (Revelations 3:21)
My brothers and sisters, relax with this special treat remembering that God’s word is true and on it we can stand always.

Prayer:
Dear God, I pray that you will strengthen your people to stand on the truth of your word. We don’t want to be cold or lukewarm. We want to be on fire for you. We desire to show our sincere love for you by obedience to what you have commanded. Help us to be more like Jesus, to make our love for you and others our top priorities, for nothing else matters in this life or the next. Give us the faith needed to sustain us day by day. In your son, Jesus name. Amen.
